1 · The Service

SOMMURAI ("the Service") is a discovery and pairing companion for restaurants, wineries, hotels and their beverage programs. Menus, wine lists, prices, hours and pairing suggestions are compiled from public sources and algorithmic analysis. They are provided for information and entertainment only — always confirm details with the venue before you order, book, or travel.

2 · Beta Software

The Service is beta software. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Use of the Service is at your own risk, and the Service is provided "as is."

3 · Pairing Suggestions

Pairings are editorial opinions generated by sommelier-informed rules and models. They are not professional, medical, or dietary advice. Menu data may be out of date; dishes and wines may contain allergens not shown. Always confirm ingredients with the venue.

4 · Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials private. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service, scrape it, or interfere with other users.

5 · Intellectual Property

The SOMMURAI name, marks, 3D worlds, design language, and pairing engines are our property. Venue names, menus and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification only — their appearance does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

6 · Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including decisions made from pairing or venue information.

7 · Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update is acceptance. Material changes will be flagged in the app.

Privacy 個人情報

What we collect

Account email and name (if you create an account); saved items, orders-in-progress and preferences (stored locally on your device where possible); anonymous usage analytics (screens visited, features used); and anything you submit through the contact or suggestion forms.

What we do NOT collect

We do not sell personal data. We do not collect precise GPS location — location search uses only the text you type. Camera capture stays on your device unless you explicitly submit a photo.

How it's used

To operate and improve the Service: remembering your saved pairings, ranking venues, fixing what breaks. Contact submissions are read by a human and kept as long as the conversation needs.

Storage & third parties

Data lives in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) instance. Embedded maps come from Google Maps; review links open the platform you pick (Yelp, TripAdvisor, OpenTable, Google) under their own policies. Fonts load from Google Fonts.

Your choices

Ask us to export or delete your account data any time via Contact. Clearing your browser storage removes local saves immediately.

Alcohol 飲酒

Age

The Service describes alcoholic beverages and is intended for users of legal drinking age — 21+ in the United States, or the legal age in your jurisdiction. If you are under the legal drinking age, please use the food side of the menu and come back in a few vintages.

No sale of alcohol

SOMMURAI does not sell, serve, deliver, or facilitate the purchase of alcohol. Prices and availability shown are the venues' own, may be outdated, and are provided for information only. All purchases happen at the venue, under the venue's license and responsibility.

Health

Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. Do not drink and drive. Per the U.S. Surgeon General, women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects; consumption of alcoholic beverages impairs your ability to drive a car or operate machinery, and may cause health problems.
